Just north of the Toronto Zoo, on Sewell's Road there is this
scrap
yard. It's very close to a really beautiful section of the Rouge River
so it probably shouldn't be there, but it is and apparently it gets
busy enough that they have to tell visitors how to park. The sign
struck me as funny because it looks looks like the car's wheels fell
off after it ran into the pole, although I'm sure that isn't what
happened at all.
![]() This archway on Bleecker Street has been bricked up for as long as I've lived in Toronto, but last year someone painted a mural which actually shows what is on the other side of the wall. And that's a pretty cool way to make Bleecker a little less bleak The artist is Diliana Popova and you can see more murals and paintings on her website.
There is a Lost City Press blog and it has a few
entries on it about fundraising.
