Lost City Press publishes books of bicycle tours/walking tours and The Best of Fundraising 101. So far they have all been written by me. I'm Fred Gardiner, a Toronto writer and graphic artist and I am currently working on a collection of short stories called Who Would Put Up With It? which I expect to see in print sometime next year.
If you would like more information about any of the publications, please send an email to info @ lostcitypress.net.
Ten Bike Tours has been in print since 1985 and sold over 3,000 copies.
In 2006, the third version introduced some new tours and eliminated those which had been made redundant by urban sprawl.
I'm planning to go back over some of the routes this summer and see what's taking place out there in the hinterland. I'll be bringing my camera and uploading what I capture to the website so . . .
. . . if you purchase the print or digital (pdf)version and send me your email address with proof of purchase, you will be given access to the
photos section, once it is available

Published in 1993, Lost City Press's second foray into the publishing world, The Freewheelin' Thomas Hardy took readers to the real world Dorset locations that inspired Hardy to create the fictional world of Wessex.
Whether tracing Michael Henchard's footsteps through the streets of Casterbridge or journeying with Tess of the D'ubervilles in
the valley of the great dairies, Hardy lovers will find this book a handy little guide should they ever decide to explore
Dorset the same way the great man himself did, on the seat of a bicycle.
Currently the book only exists only as a perfect bound paperback. There are five black and white photographs and seven tours. Each
tour has it's own map.
The Best of Fundraising 101 is basic how-to guide for people who are new to raising money for good causes. A compilation of the best issues from the no-longer-in-print newsletter, Fundraising 101, it provides step-by-step instruction in everything from getting a grant to setting up a planned giving program.
Orginally published in 2003, the book was brought up to date in 2010 and is currently available in both print and e-book formats.
If you work in the development office of a not-for-profit agency and need a good basic primer for yourself or new staff members, this book delivers the goods in a fun, easy to grasp manner.
